Portfolio Summary

Portfolio Summary
The Portfolio Summary widget displays the general values of a portfolio and its holdings at the As of Date set in the Date Selector to give you a sense of that portfolio’s standing.
Note: The Date Selector, near the top of the page, is where you set the dates and interval that the widgets in each Workspace and the tools on other pages in the app operate around.
Values the widget displays include:
Total Value – Combined value of all holdings in a portfolio (accounting for accrued)
Cash and Equivalents – Value of all cash (e.g. CAD, USD) and cash equivalent (e.g. commercial papers) holdings in a portfolio
Other Securities – Value of all securities other than cash and cash equivalents (e.g. equities, fixed income, etc.) held in a portfolio
Unrealized Gain/Loss – Potential profits/losses (shown as the difference in dollars and percentage between the portfolio’s Total Value and Book Value) that would occur if all holdings in a portfolio were sold
Book Value – Total cost of acquiring the holdings in a portfolio
All values shown in the widget are shortened for brevity. You can hover over each value to reveal the number in its entirety (accurate up to two decimal places). If there are no holdings in an account’s portfolio at the As Of date set in the Date Selector, all values will be reported as zero.
Note: The value of any positions not in the reporting currency will be converted to the currency set in the Currency Selector near the top of the page.
