Grouping Options

The Asset Mix widget allows you to group and display a portfolio’s open holdings by the following criteria:

  • Asset Class – Groups holdings in a portfolio into classes defined by the account holder’s Advisor (e.g. Equities, Cash and Cash Equivalents, and Fixed Income)

  • Industry – Groups holdings based on what economic sector they belong to, as defined by the account holder’s Advisor (e.g. Energy, Industrials, or Telecommunications)

  • Currency – Groups holdings based on the currency used to sell each security to the portfolio holder (e.g. securities sold to the portfolio holder in CAD will all be grouped together)

By pressing the arrow in the top right-hand corner of the widget, you can access a drop-down Grouping menu to choose any of the grouping options listed above. When you first sign in to Client Portal the  Asset Mix widget groups holdings by Asset Class.

Note: If the grouping option you select divides a portfolio’s holdings into too many classes to display in the table’s standard size, the table becomes scrollable. If a table is scrollable, a scroll bar appears when you hover over the classes listed in the table.
